Klaron® is well tolerated. In clinical trials side effects were uncommon and limited to redness, itching, and swelling. Do not use Klaron® if you are allergic to sulfonamides. Instances of severe liver, blood, and skin reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, have been reported with the use of sulfonamides.
